Race day
Give A Morning
The crew that makes race day.
Roughly one volunteer for every twenty runners. That is the whole difference between a 5K that feels like an event and one that feels like a group jog. Shifts run two to four hours, coffee and a shirt included, and you are back in your own kitchen before lunch.
Volunteer perks are announced per race.
Packet pickup
Friday afternoon or race morning. Hand out bibs and shirts, answer the same five questions kindly.
Course marshal
One corner, one radio, one job: point runners the right way and keep the turn clear.
Water station
Pour, stack, hold the cup out at arm's height. The loudest and most photographed job on course.
Finish line
Medals, water, and telling every single finisher they did well. Especially the last one.
Same course. Same chip. Same finish line.
Next Start Line
