1. Who we are

This website and the services described on it are provided by RUNROO VENTURES LLC, doing business as RUNROO Racing Services, a race management and chip timing company based in Fort Worth, Texas ("RUNROO", "we", "us"). Contact: info@runrooracing.com.

2. Acceptance of these terms

These terms apply to this website, to entry in any event organized or timed by RUNROO Racing Services, and to volunteer participation at those events. By using this site or entering an event you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site or enter an event.

3. Events and registration

Entry is personal to the registered participant. Bibs may not be sold, transferred or given to another person without our written approval. Wearing another participant's bib invalidates both results and may result in removal from the event, because the timing chip is tied to the bib number rather than to the person wearing it.

Registration for most events is handled by a third-party registration platform. Entry fees, transfers, deferrals and refunds follow the policy of that platform and of the race organizer, as shown to you at signup. Please read that policy before you register. Decisions to cancel, postpone or defer an event are made by the organization hosting it, and registered participants are notified using the contact details given at registration.

4. Safety and conduct

• Follow the instructions of course marshals, officials and law enforcement at all times.
• Wear your bib on the front, flat and unfolded, and visible for the whole race.
• We may withdraw any participant from the course on medical or safety grounds.

5. Assumption of risk and waiver

Running and walking are physical activities carried out on public and semi-public ground, and they carry a risk of injury. By entering you confirm that you are medically fit to participate, that you have trained appropriately, and that you accept that risk. Participants accept the event waiver at registration, and that waiver forms part of these terms.

6. Timing and results

Timing uses equipment and procedures designed to record every finisher accurately. Results are provisional until published as final, usually within twenty-four hours. Requests for correction should be submitted within seven days of the event. We cannot recover a time where a chip was rendered unreadable by the participant, such as a folded bib or a pin driven through the tag.

7. Timing and management engagements

Work performed for event organizers is governed by the written scope and quote issued for that engagement, which takes precedence over these terms wherever the two differ. A deposit confirms the date, and dates are not held without one.

8. Volunteers

Volunteers help at events at their own choice and are not employees of RUNROO. Volunteers agree to follow the instructions of event staff, to complete any briefing given, and to accept the event waiver where one is required. We may end a volunteer's participation at any time on safety grounds.

9. Photos and media

Events may be photographed and filmed. By entering or volunteering you agree that images and video taken at the event may be used by us and by the event's hosting organization in event communications, on this website and in marketing. If you would rather not appear, contact us and we will do our best to honor that.

10. Text messaging

Text messages are sent only to people who have opted in, and are covered by our SMS Terms. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase or registration. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

11. Intellectual property

The text, photography, logos, course maps and design of this site belong to RUNROO Racing Services or to our partners, and may not be reproduced commercially without our written permission. The RUNROO name and logos are our marks.

12. Third-party services and links

Registration is operated by RunSignUp and results are published through RaceResult, and this site may link to other third-party sites. Those services are operated by their owners under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.

13. Disclaimers

This website and our services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including any warranty that the site will be uninterrupted or error free or that any result will be free of error.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RUNROO VENTURES LLC and its owners, staff and volunteers are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or participation in an event, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid directly to us for the service at issue. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and the version on this page is the one that applies.
